Dubnine has a career spanning six decades. He began performing at the age of seven as part of the The Willock Family but it was a meeting with Bob Marley and the Wailers at Stafford Hall in 1977 that inspired him to make writing and performing his life's work.

As lead singer in Afrikan Star Dubnine supported Peter Tosh, UB40, Burning Spear, Toots and the Maytals and Sly and Robbie performing around Europe.

In 2004 he co produced the Grammy Nominated Steel Pulse album ‘African Holocaust’ and later that year set up his own record label (Dubtransmissions Recordings Ltd) and publishing company (Transdub Publishing – sub publishing through Kobalt Music). Working with these companies Dubnine has developed and produced a wide range of up and coming artists.

Writing in genres including Pop, Rock, Reggae, Dub, Dance and Folk and commenting on topics such as politics, inequality, race and love he has been releasing music globally since 2002.
